scummy

Still in New York, leaving tonight: be home by midnight, late nights - early mornings. Went shopping yesterday and bought so much film and the new Bon Iver ep on vinyl (it's brilliant). I'm going for a walk now and taking some photos, then jumping in the car and heading back to Toronto, shit. I'll have photos for you when I get back, xx tess

new york i love you

Today I woke up and made lattes and ate strawberries while sitting on the windowsill of the fire escape waiting for my hair to dry. We then went for a walk. Through the lower east side and SoHo. Down to the Brooklyn bridge to take photographs then back up Bowery to Bleeker street to find Bleeker St. Records. Back to Broadway, up and down. Stopping in coffee shops to rest our tired feet and to write a postcard to my lovely Alexandra. Went for dinner, didn't eat much. Went back to the apartment, ate chocolate and remembered it was Valentines Day. Now I'm listening to Miles watch Into The Wild and I have tired eyes. Goodnight, goodnight. xx tess

across the lake

This is the first Friday in a month I haven't been enjoying a Roby dinner and sleeping under a big pile of blankets in the bedroom with papered walls. The snow is melting here and it feels like time to move, again. I hope the city lights shine (especially) bright for you, Tess; bring back stories and photosphotosphotos and the promise we'll go again someday.

january 36exp

The first roll from Kodaks new type of film, not too bad. We start in Halifax with David and Marc, drinking milk and eating bacon and eggs at the cutest cafĂ©, to having coffee at the drake with only two dollars to spare with Alexandra. January passed so slowly and I'm glad it's over. I walked outside in a sweater today. Too bad it won't last long, -18˚ tomorrow. I want spring to come right now. At least there are things to look forward to in February.
